Dimming the Backlight

I have found that even with the backlight brightness turned as far down as it can go without turning off, I still often find it to be too bright. Is there any program or registry modification that I could use to dim the backlight? Thanks in advance.

I studied the service mannual> how to disembly the wizard, and thought it might be possible, but I haven't give it a try. Will the wizard still function if I were to removed the keyboard?

As if I knew what I was doing...

It is my desire/hope/outlandish thought that I might be able to learn from those who go ahead of me. I know little to nothing of hacking, tweaking, and/or improving anything, much less, my phone.

BUT...

I shall try.

Thanks to those who truly know that of which they speak. I shall listen. I posses a Cingular branded 8100 [WIZA110] (no camera) purchased in September of this year (2007). As of yet, my little virgin phone has only those native apps and those purchased commercially.

Keyboard Backlight is only on for 2 seconds .... is there a way to increase the time?

I just got my first T-Mobile MDA and was disappointed to find that the backlight on the keyboard only stays on for 2 seconds (seriously). I can not find any settings that allow me to change that ........... does anyone out there know how to change this? I am a novice at this, so please keep it simple. Thanks

Day 2: My Experience with T-Mobile's MDA, WiFi, Skype, Bluetooth ActiveSynching, and LetsTalk

Here's an update to my (nearly) free MDA from T-Mobile Experience.
Surprisingly, it is mostly positive! From ordering my phone and plan, modifying the plan, canceling my old plan, receiving the MDA by mail, and setting up the MDA with WiFi and (after a minor blip) Bluetooth with ActiveSync, internet browsing, and Skypeout service. I hope others who have an MDA can benefit from my positive experiences.

Shutting down GPRS data traffic

I found a very useful little tool that allows you to easily shut down GPRS traffic. Personally, I like it when travelling abroad (which happens easily given the small size of the Netherlands). When roaming, the data bits are made of gold and charged accordingly (15 euro per MB!). Hence, I really want to make sure I don't use any data. For Americans using Cingular it will also be very useful, since I read many times already that Cingular configures it's Wizards such that the GPRS connection is used even though a WiFi connection is available, freaking people out over accessive data bills.
