New Cingular 8125 ROM released

Earlier today I wrote about the Cingular AKU2.2 ROM that had been released. The file turned out to be corrupted. Right now the download URL has disapeared from htcamerica.net , but in fact the correct file has been uploaded on the same URL in the meantime.

I am currently downloading the file, and might make it available to members here on the HTC Wizard Web if the htcamerica.net site were to come to a grinding halt. In the meantime you can try to download the new ROM yourself.

HTC 8125 (Wizard)/T-Mobile MDA

Hi everyone!

Would like to ask how to fix my HTC 8125 (Wizard)/T-Mobile MDA. I tried upgrading from WM5 to WM6 -> http://mahmood1.com/windows_mobile_6_rom_upgrade_and_downlaod.aspx
but the problem is when i upgraded my rom (WM5 to Farias WM6), it stops on 99% then lost communication on the active sync so i tried a different wm6 rom (Core 2 WM6), success to 100% but when the upgrade finish, my phone is only showing RGB colors (Red, Green & Blue).

Hi all!

I've had my 8125 for over a year and really I've just begun to learn what I've been missing. I'm playing around with roms and learning how to flash a G4 locked 8125, its not easy! I've decided to stick with WM5 until someone ports over the 8525 WM6 rom just released by ATT. I've been on the XDA forums and one of the guys over there is working on porting it over. Keep your fingers crossed!

The start of something..

I just swapped my trusty N80 for an o2 XDA mini s and wondered if I'd done the right thing. After modding PC's, PSP's and version1 Xbox's for the last few years imagine my delight when I find there is a massive aftermarket 'Homebrew' ROM community and more apps and tweaks than I know what to do with linked to the 'Wizard (took a while to find all this out though).

I fancy trying a few of these ROMs but am a bit scared of bricking my lifeline. First thing I gotta do is find an original o2 ROM as a fallback.

WM6 ROM custom made specifically for the HTC Wizard

Here it is people!!!!!

I was looking in XDA and found a ROM released today that is perfectly tweaked for the HTC Wizard! It fixes all the bugs that folks said couldn't be fixed, adds a lot of functions that were previously missing and gives you a ROM with excellent responsiveness.

You can see for yourself at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=297762

Good luck to all

2.26 ROM with AKU 3.2 brief review (based on using)

Here I’d like to make a brief review of Wizard 2.26 ROM with AKU 3.2 (RC1). First of all I must say that I’m not experienced in any reviews but I’ll try. :)
So, I downloaded it and installed it. That’s great, it boots faster indeed! In comparison with my last 2.18 ROM with AKU 2.0 it is twice faster. It looks like the OS also runs faster without any performance registry tweaks.

My Digital Life on the HTC Wizard boot loader

Stephen Skarlatos runs his blog My Digital Life, and has a section about the T-Mobile MDA thats well worth reading. In that section, I found a very useful posting about the HTC Wizard boot loader and how it can be used after a failed ROM upgrade.
