I'm a noob and have bought a MDA Vario (T Mobile version of HTC Wizard) from ebay. It's unlocked, but the welcome screen and the phone screen are in the awful T Mobile colours and design. Is there any way they can be changed?

Screen goes white

Hi, recently I added a couple of new apps to my HTC 8525 likea couple of themes and the new today app. After a few days I found my screen would go white but the rest of the phone functions ok. removed the apps but still happens. when I reset or push on off a few times it comes back ok. Any ideas?

sound manager won't recognize mp3's

I had a 3rd party media player (perhaps pmplayer) installed on my cingular 8125 and after uninstalling it, the sound manager (start/settings/sounds&notifications/notifications) will show me the mp3's stored to my RAM but it won't play them in that screen and it will revert back to windows default when i tap ok. I am unsure where in the registry to fix this...

Play a simple stream in Mobile IE

These links open up a WMP in a diff. window. The Mobile IE wont detect the WMP to play the stream.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hiding Sim Contacts

I am new to here and to HTC touch phone, i am just wondering is there way to hide the sim contacts once you copy them from your sim to phone ?

I have tryed to find this in the phone but i couldn’t and i don’t think it says in the book anything about it.

Hi everybody. I've been using my 8125 wiz since April without having any problems. Now suddenly everytime I try an download a file of any type I get an "ERROR: this device is restricted from downloading this file type" Even if i've downloaded the file before. I think it might belinked to the fact that I was doing some memory cleanup on total command and may have wiped something I shouldn't have. Everything else still works though.

Hi Folks and hello to you all.

I recently tried to update my 9100 running a molski 2.26 rom to a XDA Mobile 6 r2a. All was going well until it hit 99% and then it came up with a update:[302]error. I tried the recovery process and ran the update again but still it fails at 99%.

My phone now goes straight to the three colour screen boot loader when switched on. which shows RUU in the top right corner and IPL/SPL 2.26 on the left of the top two colours.

Changing default storage location - Bluetooth file transfers

What I trying to do is when I transfer a file from my PC to my 8125 via bluetooth is have the file saved to my storage card and not the internal memory. I've tried the registry hacks FileSyncPath \Storage Card\My Documents did a soft reset but it still saves to the internal memory.

Is this hack only for files you save via Internet Explorer? Or am I just applying the hack incorrectly?

Is there any way to force my 8525 to roam? It appears Cingular/ATT does not offer that option. I drop calls like crazy. Much more than my Verizon phone did.

Left Softkey issue...

Turned on my 8125 this morning and was surprised to find my left softkey would not open the start menu as normal(running smartskey naturally). Then i noticed it wasnt just the "hold" function, the left softkey isnt working period, with the keyboard closed or open. Ive tried turning smartskey off then back on, also a soft reset...

oh and i also just noticed my volume slider will scroll UP, but no longer scrolls down...

internal antenna broken?

After a few antenna boosters failedi used a wire n sticked straight into the hole of internal antenna hoping to gain signal in my cabin, which it worked n i got almost full signal! Now without keeping the wire stuck in the hole my mda wont pick up T-Mobile signal! While i keep trying to insert the wire so it stay in the hole, i 'think' i broke(?) the antenna or 'something' that altogether: my mda wont pick up any signal with out a wire in that hole, and it is impossible to keep the wire not to come loose from the hole, nott even crazy glue! Can someone plzzz help or recommend what can i do to fix my mda! thanks in advance!
