4GB MiniSD

I've looked into this a bit now and have noticed that some people say they have gotten 4GB SD NOT SDHC but normal SD to work within their MDA. No one ever says exactly where they got the steps to get it to work or how they got it to work but, people claim that it has worked. The downfall they say is that you recieve slower write speeds to the card. That doesn't bother me. I've bought a 4gb MiniSD card for $20 (and some change) US Dollars including shipping. A 4GB card for $20 is a killer price and I seriously want to get this card to work.

Parrot CK3000 Evo Audio Caller ID Problems

I just installed a Parrot CK3000 Evolution Bluetooth handsfree system in my car, and I can't get the audio caller ID to work. When I get a call, the name of the caller is supposed to be announced. I've recorded the names in the Parrot, but the caller ID has never worked. I installed the JetWare bluetooth extensions on my Wizard (Cingular 8125), but that hasn't solved the problem. Has anyone gotten this to work with their Wizard?

HTC TYN_TII - external antenna

I'm looking for an external antenna for the HTC TYN_Tii, but no-one seems to have one, does anyone have any ideas?

Also, one recurrent problem - not sure if its the network or the phone - calls keep on dropping out randomly even with full network service; network provider claims they've not got a problem, and i know two other people with the same series handset on two different networks again.

Bluetooth headset autoconnect

Hi,

Thanks to you guys, I've got my new stereo headset working really well with my HTC (gear4 bluphones - they're great!).

I can listen to music, switch to a call, switch back etc - all great.

Only problem is, when I switch the headset on, I have to go & connect it manually - it won't auto connect - surely I'm missing something - it should just pair up shouldn't it?

I've searched high & low & can't find anything - probably because I'm doing something simple wrong!

FM Transmitter

Hello All,

I love this site. It has helped me tremendously with my T-Mobile MDA. I have been faced with a problem that I have not quite been able to solve on my own yet. Please note that I did see a blog post by Hutch that had the exact same problem, but I saw no clear cut conclusion since it originated as a blog post.

I have an FM transmitter that I use for communication, music, and navigation. It is nice to have for convinience and safety. I have a Merkury FM Transmitter, and a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter cord. My concern is that incoming calls are not routed through the speakerphone or through the 2.5mm jack and subsequently through the FM transmitter. In order to have incoming call functionality, I must unplug the FM transmitter from the MDA, put the MDA on speakerphone, and plug the FM Transmitter back in. Although not that difficult a task, it becomes a hassle especially while I try to safely drive. I am able to make outgoing calls beautifully using this setup and the only real annoyance that I have is for the incoming calls.

Problem with Bluetooth Audio on T-Mobile MDA Vario II

I have a T-Mobile MDA Vario II, I have just bought a set of Sony DR-BT30Q bluetooth headphones. They have paired and work as both headset and headphones, but while working as headphones I get pauses (from 1 sec to 30sec+) where I cannot hear any music, but the play/pause and suffle functions still work.

I sent the first pair back to the shop, but this is still an issue on my second pair, it therefore must be a problem with the phone or a setting needs changing.

Bluetooth Device Recommendation

I have noticed in a few post people having trouble sending and reciving file via bluetooth with their personal computers
i recomend purchaceing the Targus Bluetooth 2.0 adapter with EDR model Number ACB10US

if you have Win98SE don't be discouraged with the package not listing it as supported it is no matter what it says. it suports active synch but alas win 98 dosent suport Active Synch 4.x which the HTC device requires but it will allow pretty much every other bluetooth comunication protocall. This device works great it even allowed me to use my motorolla bluetooth head seat as head phones just did not have a chance to see if it also worked as the mic as well. More test will reveal that if that will work

gel case for mda vario/wizard

okay, i've scoured the internet and found one silicone case by pdaden

but don't feel like it's going to truly provide enough protection-based on the few reviews I read. Not to mention I couldnt order one if I wanted as the site appears to be down. I've also put in several requests to boxwave. So my question is....why are there no good silicone cases for the Wizard? I don't need to provide keyboard access, just want something light that will provide a moderate level of protection when carying my ppc in my pocket. I've seen some pretty cool rubber type cases that just wrap around the outside of the ppc and don't provide much screen protection..this would be fine as well, as I use a screen protector. Of course, i can't find one for my device. I'm really open to any suggestions aside from leather or aluminum cases...any ideas???????????

eforcity stylus replacement cingular 8125

Do not order the 8125 stylus replacements from eforcity. These retractable stylus replacements do not fit the phone as advertised. In fact, they stick out in such a bizarre fashion that they hook on everything. The S&H is twice the cost of the stylus, so returning is pointless, although postage back would be only a few cents. These are falsely adverstised. Avoid this vendor.
