Hi everybody,

First of all, as I am new to this community, I'd like to say hello to all of you. Secondly, I would like to thank all of you diligent gurus out there for putting together this fantastic forum - you have amassed a wealth of information. Greatly appreciated!!

Now then, on to my little question (hopefully). My company is quite the stickler when it comes to security and as such, they require us to use VPN to access our email. Unfortunately, the VPN provider (Checkpoint) currently doesn't have any intention of releasing a client for Windows Mobile 5. ... Strike one for me getting push email.

Screen Always Landscape?

Is there any way(whether it be registry hacks, or settings) to have the screen on the wizard stay in Landscape mode at ALL times? I've tried manually setting it to landscape, but as soon as I slide out the keyboard, and slide it back, it goes into portrait..

It seems like its probably a registry hack, so if anyone knows, let me know.

Msn Hotmail For 8125

Can Hotmail check mail every 15 or say instead of having to push send/recieve. Like for example i have a netzero email add and i told it to check every 15 min, and i want hotmail to do that, is that possible?

OMAPscaler - Adjust CPU speed based on CPU load.

OMAPscaler can measure load of the CPU (OMAP based) and set speed of the processor.

You can setup a level of load at which OMAPscaler will overclock the CPU (THAT give you additional power then you play video for example), and you can set a load level at which the processor will be downclocked(THAT can save battery on your Wizard)
One `BUT` by now applications in BETA stage.

Do not show SMS messages

When a SMS has been received, the full message will be shown immediately. Is there a way to disable this, so the message will be received in the text messages inbox, but now shown immediately? I don't like the idea that my SMS will been shown when using the Wizard in a car for GPS navigation, everyone in the car can read them..

bluetooth and Audi

I just got my HTC 8125 from cingular and I am trying to pair it with my car via bluetooth. The car is a 2005 Audi A6. I have had many other phones pair with the car, for example the Motorola SLIVR, a LG PM-325, a Siemens, and others.

Has anybody had similar experiences and were you able to overcome the problem?

I'm grateful for any hints.

Hi. Does anyone know how to prevent ActiveSync from continually starting? It seems to drain power and reduce performance. I read and article which gave instruction that worked perfectly. Unortunately a hard reset removed the changes and I cant find the article again! Help most welcome.

I have had a custom ringtone on my MDA for the past couple of weeks... now it seems that the MDA does not want to play a ringtone when somebody calls... this is very frustrating to me cuz i will not always have the phone by me and i will not know if someone calls me unless i check it, it will still vibrate but it will no longer ring. Not even the Stock ringers will play and I've checked multiple times on the sound settings to make sure it doesnt go back to silent or vibrate and it still does not want to ring, will somebody please help me im getting so frustrated,

In June shengs75 did all of us on the Cingular network a great favor by detailing out the settings for the various Cingular data connections.

In that post shengs75 commented "By the way, usually when I'm in a Wifi hotspot, I've created a profile just for WiFi with no connections defined. This way I'm forcing it to use the Wifi connection. I can then control when I want Wifi and when I want GPRS, instead of automatic switching".

I recent flash my to htc wizard from the factory rom to
T-Mobile_RUU_Wizard_2241010_224_22511_ENG_US.exe
and now my fone has and goes on the gprs and edge, so i calleda tmobile rep to ensure i wasnt being charged for a service i dont have
and she sold me that my plan doesnt offer internet and i would have to a date plan to it,
maybe u guys kno a bit more?

Hi Again,

When I was playing with my registery (I mean the registery of my device... ;-) and I can tell you it's very dangerous task, I bumped into the following key there:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Common\FontColor = 00FF00

When I changed the values the font on my camera which was green, changed... I started to put different values there, to have a wide range from bright red to pink to blue. I choosed blue value (FF0000) but if you want your own-specific color, you may visit :
