Looking for a faster way to deal with TASKS

I never used a site like this before, so I hope this entry ends up in the right location - my apologies if not.

I have used various PALM OS devices for about five years and had a great program (DateBook5) for tracking daily events and to do items which could all be shown on one page. I recently bought an MDA off ebay because it looked like a great way to consolidate a pda and a phone. I had 5 years of events and to do items synchronized with Outlook. Outlook calls "to do" items "tasks" and I have over 1500 of them over the years. But in DateBook5 I never had to look at the whole list, they were each tagged to a specific date (which is very usefull for many reasons). When I sync'd 1500+ tasks into the MDA and try to open the tasks menu, it now takes 41 seconds to open that program. In my mind a program that locks up your device for that long is pretty useless. Is there any good software that allows you to see your daily schedule and tasks on one page and loads fast?

8125 Locks At Splash Screen during Soft Reset

Hello All! Great Forum for sharing information. Here is what I have (and please forgive me in advance...I have searched forums and not found the answer)

I have installed the latest Cingular ROM from the HTC site. The unit will lock up occasionally, and when I go to use a soft reset, the 8125 will lock at the Windows Mobile splash screen making the touch screen inoperative. The device, I believe, is working in the background and I CAN receive calls. But all hard buttons and touchscreen are not functioning. I cannot flash the ROM with one of the customized ROMs (although I wish I could) or Unlock due to the phone actually belonging to my employer.

Woo hoo!!

T-Mobile USA finally released their ROM update for the MDA phone. Version 2.26.10.2 is now available from their website.

I noticed it over at the HTC Wiki:

http://htcwiki.wetpaint.com/page/Upgrading+MDA+to+new+v2.26.10.2+Code

and the T-Mobile link:

http://www.t-mobileapps.com/downloadcenter/software_detail.cfm?id=80

Thanks,
Act! 5 (2000) sync issues to 8125 Wizard

Is anyone using Act! 2000/5 and can Sync it to the 8125 wizard. I’ve read that Act only uses active sync 3.8 and below and Windows media 5 needs 4.0 and above. This is a conflict with Active sync. Is anyone using intellasync or other software to make this work?

I need to be able to import my contact database from Act into the Wizard.

Thank you in advance.

Multiple MSN accounts with pocket PC

I have two msn e-mail accounts. The only way I have been able to check my accounts is to sign in and out, which is painstaking and slow. Any suggestions? Also, how do I get the 8125 to automatically check my e-mail instead of having to manually do so?

Cannot reflash ROM

I have a Tmobile MDA and this morning it crashed on me. I have SPB Pocket plus and I tried to reboot in safe mode. That was a mistake. Now I get a white screen. I get no boot screen, no login. . .nothing, just a white screen.

I can get calls but since I can't see anything on the screen it's useless. The system will still sync but I noticed the flash memory has filled itself up and when the system is powered on. . .the bottom heats up way more than usual. I can cook an egg on it. I have tried holding the buttons to reset it (the camera button) and I still get a white screen. I also tried removing and reinstalling just about everything, battery, SIM card, etc.

On Screen Keboard issues

I am having trouble witht he onscreen keyboard. Specifically 2 issues.

1. The S & D keys require a much harder press than other keys and recently the E key, only the most common letter in the English language, has started to return a number 3 or number 4 when the area is pressed unless you press right at the bottom of the E key box. I have re-aligned the screen several times and nothing helps.

Storage card inserted problem

I have the T-Mobile MDA and I love it. But when I take it out of sleep, it often says "Storage card inseted, do you wnat to search it for files?". This message comes up often, even though I had already let it search for files and had not added any new ones. Does anyone know if there is a fix/patch for this? Or could it be a hardware problem (loose card?)? It is not a bad enough problem that I must fix it, but it is annoying if I am trying to find a number quickly.
