There are now two days left for members of the HTC Wizard Web to submit the questions they want HTC America to answer in this months Q&A with HTC. If you have any question within the topic HTC, the company and its products, please head over to the original forum topic and let us know what it is you want to know from HTC America.

Furthermore, I made a decision about the prizes for the Review Contest that is currently taking place. The prizes will be:

  1. A Motorola HT820 Bluetooth Stereo Headset
  2. A HTC Wizard Armour Case
  3. A licensed copy of Opera for Windows Mobile Pocket PC
    1. The final date for entering the Review contest will be September 30th, voting will be closed on October 15th. Have a look at the Review Contest announcement to find out how to enter and compete for these prizes.

Please note that the Review Contest topic is not just the HTC Wizard, it is the HTC Wizard in today's situation. At the time of it's release, the HTC Wizard lacked a lot of functionality an stability that became available with the release of new ROMs and software, so a review of the HTC Wizard in today's world might very well be very different from reviews written at the time of its release.

Ok,

I almost never post in the forums and basically just got a Cingular 8125 so don't kill be for being stupid. I have a question about sync'ing with MS exchange for work email and get an annoying PIN password screen that pops up every time I power the phone on and every 30 or 45 seconds after powered up if I don't happen to be using any applications. Are there any registry settings or other things I can do to keep this thing from popping up quite so often?

Thanks in advance.

It turns out that when I set the device up to sync with exchange (a nice feature since I can do it from any network with OWA) the nework forces you to enable the lock on the phone... and somehow defaults to 0 seconds on the recurrance. After playing with it for WAY too long, I found that I can set it to 24 hours max. MUCH better than the thing locking me out and asking for a password every 30 seconds.

Also, I gotta say that this forum is really GREAT!! I've learned lots of cool stuff about the phone that I'd still be scratching my head about. Many thanks to all the helpful postings!!

Just gotta figure out how to get streaming video from the internet working now.

Cheers,
-Boz
