WM5Storage - Updated file

Hi to all the great members of HTCWizardWeb...

I got the WM5Storage file posted by pmi a few days ago. (Thanks pmi, it was really great job!) but I was not able to run it properly on my device. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. It returned the mysterious error code "1f" to me.



After a lot of digging, I found the meaning of the code (When you want to activate the WM5Storage, there must be no open file in the SD...)

But meanwhile I got a newer version of the same file (with more user friendly error codes !!!!) and more options which is attached in this post.

Although I still don't know the usage of new features (like LED/Vibrators Read/Write, etc.) but I think you may face fewer errors with the new update of the file.

Cool Program

Although I was under the impression I'd be able to access my Device's storage as well, but that's no biggie really. Having access to the MiniSD card is awesome.
I played with the LEDs/Vibrators section and here is what I found out:
There are 2 drop downs there, one for Read and one for Write.
Setting those options in the drop down to #1 will cause the charge led to blink when there is Read or Write functions being performed, depending on which ones you select. If you select #2 for those boxes, the phone will make short vibrations for when which ever one of those functions are performed.
I have both of mine set to #1.

Very handy program, especially since ActiveSync doesn't work on my main computer.

I installed this and got 3 accessory folers

i got three accessory folders after installing this all with wm5storage in it in the program screen of my unit and have no clue how to get ride of the extra acces folders on the screen

Probably you installed it three times!!!
Anyway, you can easily remove the extra ones using file explorer and go to :

/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/

And delete the extra ones. You may even copy the shortcut for WM5torage from one of these accessory folders to /Windows/Start Menu/Programs so you can have it in the Programs folder when you need it.

It really is a handy program

It really is a handy program i think that program and some more info should be put on cd/dvd i read the disc mojo review and think that software would help make it easier to burn.

I am not sure I understand what does this application do, that is not already possible to do without it. I have a VOX smartphone with a 8Gb miniSD. I can access my SD card thorugh ActiveSync and even install applications on the card.
Apart from the gimmicks (Led and vibrate) is there anything else that this App does?
