In January 1955, Jill Kinmont, then 19, seemed certain to make the United States Olympic ski team. Since age twelve, she had focused on this goal for aion kina. When her family moved to Seattle, Jill was able to fulfill her new dream. She attended the School of Education at the University of Washington and began her new life's work as a teacher.
