I have upgraded rom to 2.17 on my tmobile mda, i have paired my logitec bluetooth headset with the mda and i play song in media player, then press the headset button, which activates voice dialing and the song temporarily plays through the headset. after the voice dial app closes, the sound goes back through the device speaker. any way to keep the headset connected so the music will continue to play?

Did you follow the instructions on this entry precisely?

http://www.htcwizardweb.net/node/304

The problem you describe could be the cause of old configuration information remaining for you devices. Try to:

1. Perform a reset by holding down the power button for 5 s (and answer that it is OK to reset when you get the dialog)
2. Remove all paired headsets in the Bluetooth settings
3. Reset by pushing the pen in the side of the device
4. Pair the logitech headset again and select the headset and wireless stereo functions (if they aren't automatically selected)
5. Hold the pen down on the headset entry in the Bluetooth settings to get the popup menu, and select to use wireless stereo, and then *wait* until you hear a hich-pitch arpeggio sound.

My Moto 820 works great when I first pair it. I have hear music fine. If the phone rings I can answer the call fine but when the call is over the sound comes out of the phone. The only way I can get the headphones to work again is to remove and re-pair the device. Kind of impracticle while jogging :)

Followed the steps above to no avail. Any other thoughts?

I have exactly the same problem. I have found that you don't need to remove and re-pair but you do need to set the device as the wireless stereo again. Also, the headphones icon with the note in it disappears after a few actions on the device (whatever they may be - it doesn't matter).

I'm not sure where to go next....

I had the exact same problem with the 2.17 ROM... But, I just updated to the 2.24 Rom and I don't have this problem.

To be exact, I have a Cingular 8125. I updated to the cooked Cingular 2.17 for A2DP... but I kept getting dropped like you guys are.

Then I switched my service to T-mobile, so I updated my ROM again to a cooked T-mobile 2.24... now my A2DP works flawlessly!

PS: the media buttons still don't work on TCPMP...

I am having the exact same problem with T-Mobile 2.24 ROM version. I have Bluetake BT450rx stereo headphones and I have to go into bluetooth settings and select "Set as Wireless Stereo" everytime I want to use them. Otherwise, music plays through the phone speaker.

Try this.

Start with your wizard on, bluetooth off(if it's on, turn it off)& headset off.

1. Go to the Wizard comm manager and turn on Bluetooth.
2. Turn on headset
3. Press the play/pause button on your headset.
-this should make a loud beep in your headset
4. Play music, have fun!!

I have to follow that exact process, or I can't make them pair right...

Good luck.
