NoData question

Hi!

I had a question about when NoData is on or off.

When NoData is first started, the top paragraph says "This application allows you to disable your data connections"

Then, at the bottom it lists:
MEdia Net - ENABLED
My ISP GPRS - ENABLED

So is access to MEdia Net and My ISP GPRS enabled, or is the blocking enabled?

According to the first paragraph, NoData allows you to DISABLE, so shouldn't it say DISABLED if blocked?

To make things simpled, they should say BLOCKING ENABLED, or BLOCKING DISABLED.

But for now, how do you know when NoData is working or not?

Thanks

P.S. Great program btw

From using the program, I think when they say enabled or disabled they mean the service, not the blocking. You're right it would be a good idea to clarify, better maybe to say "service enabled, servive disabled" I guess.

I keep mine all disabled most all the time, and use wi-fi when home or when it is available. It seems a rip-off to be forced into a data plan, in my opinion that should be the customer's choice, so MoDaCo has really helped be opening this aspect of the real potential here for our wizard devices.

I don't know what each of the 4 subcomponents does exactly. I just turn em all off or on. When I use any data on GPRS, the icon at the top of the screen is similar to a connected wi-fi with the 2 arrows but noticibly different in that it has a letter in a box (E if I remember right). I never need much data. email can be kept in sync for offline reading using builtin client for outlook, and I've added gmail. uses almost no data to sync a little if it has been done recently. for news reader I think pRSS Reader is one of the best and very configurable to user preferences and has offline web cache. I don't need much more data than that while I am not at home. Google maps for windows mobile has low overhead too, but I rarely use that on the go.

Alrighty then.
