HTC 8125

First off, I just purchased an HTC 8125 (the phone for at&t and cingular). It is also unlocked for TMobile. My service is through TMobile and everything seems to work fine except for my contacts not loading, and the thing I would rather have work more, the internet is not working. I have internet in my cellphone plan, but when I try connecting to the internet I get a message saying

Cannot Connect

Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap settings

I go to settings and there is some stuff that I can click, however I know nothing about any of it.

Could anyone direct me to what I should be doing that could possibly make my internet functional.

Search at the site of T-mobile i suggest or contact their help desk. There could be too many reasons why it's not working.
For me i use the wizard with KPN (in Holland) and it's working fine (bit slow) by GPRS.
