Connecting to the internet using MDA as a modem for your PC

Is it possible to use your internet enabled MDA using modem link with a usb connection to connect to the internet thus enabling your pc. Meaning You have a PC using the MDA as it's modem. Probably stupid question but asking anyway. I know you can view MDA screen on PC but I am close to retirement and was trying to come up with a way not to spend the $59.00 per month for a aircard and service.....Thanks to all BTW It's only 29.00 to get internet on MDA from t-mobile.

Use my MDA as a Modem
Below are the steps to connect your MDA to a computer and use it as a modem.

1. On the MDA go to Start > Programs > Modem Link
2. Set the Connection Type to USB and the Access Point Name to wap.voicestream.com
3. Click the Activate Button
4. Connect your MDA to your computer via USB
* The Computer should find a New Hardware. Select Have disk and point to the provided CD Rom from T-Mobile. It will find and Install the drivers for the HTC USB Modem
5. Go to the Modem Properties
6. On the computer, go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options
7. Under Modems Tab, Select HTC USB Modem and Press Properties button
8. Go to the Advanced Tab
9. *Enter the following string in Extra Initializations Commands: AT+cgdcont=1,"IP","internet2.voicestream.com"
10. Click Ok
11. Create a New Connection: Start Menu > Control panel > Network Connections > Create New Connection
12. Walk Through the Connection Wizard
* Select Connect to the Internet, Click Next
* Select Set up my connection Manually, Click Next
* Connect using a dial-up modem, Click Next
* Select Modem - HTC USB Modem (Com7), Click Next
* Type a name Tmobile GPRS,Click Next
* Enter *99# into the Phone number field, Click Next
* Leave Blank the Internet Account Information, Click Next
* Click Finish
13. Click Dial on your Tmobile GPRS Connection or from Network Connections right Click and Connect.
14. Your computer will now connect to the T-Mobile internet via GPRS.
