Hey there!

So, I decided to join you guys.
After visiting this site even before getting my own htcwiz,
I was amazed at how many options and possibilities the wizard has
and at how much software is out there!

It´s a fun gadget it is, and i´ve already flashed it with wm6 (faria),
overclocked it to 273mhz, got the skummvm working and downloaded various torrents
full of sweet savory software..

including:
spb pocket plus
spb time
novii media remote control (for using the wizard as a every day remote control via IR)
htc audio manager
the core player
age of empires: golden age
and various others..

I got a few questions though for you
hardcore wizards out there:

1. has anybody managed to play GBA games with an emulator
that actually works full speed?
ive tried pocketgba and morphgear but both never reach full speed.
its a shame really, the max i get is maybe 90% on a sunny day with 273mhz
and nothing running in the background.
but its not sufficient to really enjoy the htc as a gba.

of course, ive told myself, i should just buy an gba and let my wizard be,
but the fact that this should (could) be possible
drives me to wanting to explore every way available.

2. does anyone know of a way to install virtual ram?
a way to boost up the 64mb the wizard has and maybe get faster results?

3. does anyone have bad experience with overclocking?
like, has any wizard completely crashed, caught on fire, electrocuted anyone etc?

and 4. does anyone know how to turn the damn thing off? :D
no kidding, normally i shut down the wizard by holding in the power button,
but it doesnt shut down safely i think, it seems more like a soft reset.
i would expect an option in the start menu containing shutdown-restart etc.

again, thank you all for sharing your knowledge,
it has helped a newbie like myself a long the way.
