This is cool toy to make your contacts list scroll like a Iphone screen would. just move the cab file to any where on your wizard and install it. Once you install the cab file you may need to update your .net software on the wizard.

here is the link to update that.

Three reasons why this blog entry is bad.

  1. The author of this software clearly forbids redistribution of his software: "Please always link to my website, do not provide binary yourself. I'm clearly trying to bring some traffic to my website... so I can continue to develop for free." This is clearly stated in the the first post of this thread. (Stanley, perhaps you can remove the cab-file?)
  2. The .Net version is outdated since the author has switched to a native version of his application.
  3. I myself announced ContactManager about 3 weeks ago on this very site.

So this blog entry is illegal, outdated and redundant at the same time. That's why I voted 1.

p.s. This is the author's website.

Wow, do I sense a little jealousy!!!
1. The cab file I placed on here is a little different than the one you linked to. So im not breaking any laws. KMA!!! If you were to install it and look at it you will see its a little different.

2. You can download any version of .net you want to. the version that worked best with my phone and the with the version of the contact manager is the one I posted.

3. Its not redundant b/c its a different contact manager than the one you posted.

Stanley, you can check my story and see what I am talking about.
And please remove Andre's vote. Thank you

Not at all. I just sympathize with the author who's very keen on keeping the distribution of his software in his own hands. Something he's fully entitled to, since it's HIS work. In recent years, I've grown a lot of respect for freeware developers. Often, they make great software that is really useful. Therefor, I don't like to see this particular software developer getting disrespected by you.

Firstly, I didn't link to a cab file, I linked to the website of the author. By doing so I not only respect his wishes, but it also prevents it from getting outdated. Secondly, as I said, the .Net version (ContactManager) has been replaced by a native version (Pocket ContactManager).

So? Did you make ContactManager so you can decidede what will happen to it?

I posted about ContactManager version 0.10. You post about version 0.11; did you say anything about the differences between these two versions? So what does your post add except an illegal attachment?

I think I have just as much right to vote for blogs as you do.

The author of this software clearly states on his web site that he does not allow redistribution of hist software. That, and nothing more than that, made me decide to remove the CAB file from this post.

As for the rest of the discussion that is going on in the comments on this article: please consider having this kind of discussions in private, I don't think it benefits the community to have this kind and tone of discussion in public.
