Automatically turn on WIFI when there is no EDGE/GRPS coverage and making WIFI take priority over cell connectionSubmitted by jbmessamore on Wed, 12/04/2006 - 01:20. General | Networking
Two issues: 1. Is there a way to have the Wizard turn on WIFI when there is no EDGE/GRPS coverage. In many buildings, I do not have service, but would like my device to access the wireless network to download my e-mail. I don't want to leave WIFI on all the time, but I also do not want to manually activate it each time I enter a zone with no service. Is there any solution you can think of? 2. When WIFI and EDGE/GPRS are available, the device frequently wants to use the cell connection over the WIFI connection. How can I make WIFI the default connection when it is available?
