i bought a Cingular 8125 about 2 week earlier from ebay, USA. i never able to turn on the set. the seller inform me that at the time of it’s shipment the set works just fine.actually the problem is the phone not charging. When I try to charge my phone using the wall and the USB charger, it doesn’t charge nor does the charging light come on. I’m not sure what the problem is. i have measured the output rating of the charger and finds ok.

is the problem in the battery?caz the seller charged it fully before it’s shipment. i spend a lot but disappointed. can any one show me any hope…..

i too had this same problem although it was because i forgot to charge it for a few days and ran it completely dead. my dilemma was that i let a friend borrow my charger that came with the phone and i was using a travel charger made for razr's and blackberry's... after i did alot of searching found that it travel/wall chargers work great for keeping the robot charged but only the HTC charger has the right ampere output to bring it back to life from full dead, i figured this out the hard way. my recommendation would be to get ahold of a htc charger, or go to the cingular store and borrow one of theirs for 10 minutes to turn it on (it has to be the HTC charger, so they might have to open a box for ya) and then it will charge off of any charger after that point, just remember to keep it charged.

I did a similar thing, I left the Bluetooth on and the battery faded down below where it could boot up to power management.

I finally dug up the original power supply. It violates USB rules and is rated for a full 5V 1 AMP!

I do not think you should use this "USB" charger for anything else. That 1 amp rating could lead to some devices getting fried because the designer counted on the 1/2 amp rating to act as a fuse.

I have ad (and am currenly having) the same issue. 6 months back I let my phone run dry and it refused to go bak on, even with the official charger. I took it to the market and a guy there gave it a flash boost with some special equipment allowing me to charge it again. unfortunately I managed to do the same thing again and had to take the phone to tmobile under the assumption that the battery was dead. they replaced the battery for me free of charge and I set off again.
it was only at this point I discovered that my phone will no longer charge if it is off. therefore if it has no power to boot up, the phone will refuse any power source. as a result I simply keep my phone on 24-7 now, charge it every night and make sure it never runs out of power!
