Active Sync Issues with date/time -anyone?

Hi folks,
I recently got myself HTC8525. Generally, like it quite a lot, but there are few things I have problem with:

1. When connected to PC (via USB) ActiveSync totally mess up time/date on PPC. My previously set meetings/tasks -all gets shifted (usually) several hours back. Anyone experienced something similar? How to fix that?

2. Is there any reliable way not-2-use GPRS while in WiFi zone?
