What does the "Today Timeout" function mean in the settings menu?

Hello,

I am new to this forum and have already had many of my questions answered by other members thus far.
I hope now to have yet another answer.

In the Start menu, settings, Today, items (bottom of screen) is an option called "Today Timeout" which can be checked off anywhere from 1 to 12 hours. The default setting seems to be 4 hours.

Q - What does this setting do? Does it set how many hours until tomorrow's appointments show up? I hope someone can explain and thank you in advance.

GSY

It doesn't really do much. This means if your device is idle/off for 4 hours, it will return to the Today screen, regardless of what screen you had open before.

You're right. It doesn't seem that useful.

Use the password protect function and the Today screen will always pop-up after resuming from standby.
