Hi,

I live in Argentina, where there is no such thing as data plans, and data sent/recieved is charged by the byte. Everytime I finish browsing the internet trough WiFi the #$%&@%& phone starts connecting to my carrier. I tried changing the connection to "anynumber" but the phone recogniced that no modem was answering so it went back to default settings. Now it dials the Cingular Number (In the US!!!) and I keep being charged for this as an intl' call!!

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

Remove the connection profiles... if you remove them all it won't connect at all any more.

I believe I already have... Do you mean in the "Connections" icon, on the settings folder?
If so, I already have...
Thanks

I deleted the Registry Folder, easier than what I thought.
Thanks GoldRsh!

When it dials, it reads the following:

Connecting to: CSD Cingular
Using: Cellular Line
Dialing + 14152441012

Thanks

hmmm...
they should all be here:
Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections icon -> Manage Existing Connections
Remove everything in that window.

Good thing I don't live in Argentina. Especially since I always use my WiFi. Does your provider provide the settings right away? Our provider asks permission first so no problems there. Still, thanks for the info. Useful if I ever encounter this potentially expensive oversight!
