Hey can anyone help me out with this. I was wondering if it was at all possible to get my htc wizard to play through my car stereo. Just like how ipods have the iplug. That would be awesome if at all possible

I've had a gadget called a 'SoundFeeder' for ages which does exactly the same ar the iPod thingy. I can't remember where it came from but try www.addonsworld.com; I think I've seen something similar there.

some cd decks also have an aux input on the back, then you can switch the mode to aux and basially run a 2.5mm adapter to your HTC. that's what i did on both my truck and sedan. no brainer. i bought my adapter for the HTC at radio shack for $3.99 (to allow for a 2.5 mm to plug into HTC.

Let me know how it works for you.

I posted something else on this, but I'm wondering if this is an HTC Wizard thing or just mine (just got it used from Ebay but all else works fine) that no one can hear me when I use the speakerphone. It picks up all the background noise, but not my voice hardly at all. Any ideas?

If your car stereo has a cassette player, just buy a car kit and plug it to your Wizard via a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter.. .. no need for hi tech here..

Radio Shack has FM transmitters so you can play a device over the radio. The used to have their own which i still have for when casette was still dominent. This gave me a new use for it with this post, didn't even think about this use.

Here is a link to all of them listed on Radi Shack's website.

ahhh there are a couple things you can do I'll break it down(I work at RadShack--which sucks)

In Any sense you will need to use a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter to send the signal to your car system..so you will need to use one no matter what(unless you go the bluetooth route but thats retarded)

you can use either a 274.004
or a 274.373.

attach either of those to either a cassette to 3.5 jack setup(we have made by accurian for 20 bucks)
or if you have an aux jack in the back of your head unit you can plug in stereo phono jacks into a stereo 3.5 jack cable then adapter that into the adapter mentioned above.
You could also just use a 3.5 to 3.5 male cable and plug that into the adapter as well.

The only issue you will face is sometimes(and I could've easily over looked this) people can hear you and sometimes they can't. I don't know if its because the jack was fully plugged into my phone or if it was just half way in so it could pick up on the mono and the mic contact was left untouched. It also may be an issue if its an incoming or outgoing call( I just wrote software for mine so not matter what the mic pics up like on speakerphone). So yeah..do that and you'll be alright..it'll take a lil tinkering but thats fun as hell to do...and once you get it done you'll be having a blast.

My next project will be creating a dock for my 8125 so I can dock my phone in and I'll automatically have my audio going through(instead of my 8125 sitting in my cup holder). I'll also have a small 7" lcd screen that will be mounted so whatever is on my screen will appear on the 7" screen.. then I'm looking for a small plain qwerty keyboard which will control the on screen keyboard so I could txt while driving(or parked more likely..shush!)....soon my batmobile will be complete...muahahahhahahahaha..hahahaha
