I was wondering if my Qtek 9100 (IPL: 2.17; SPL: 2.17; GSM 02.07.10; OS 2.17.7.2) is compatible with the US GlobalSat BT359 GPS unit. If anyone reccomends anything better or has comments whether this device sucks or the specs are crappy, etc, please comment! I know nothing about GPSs.

Specs here The best price i can find is from Semsons for 120. Im looking for compatibiliy with iGuidance 3.0 software. Thanks.

Yes. Just got one yesterday and it works fine, you just need to setup a serial port for the bluetooth connection. The "NMEA" standard does the rest (understood by all modern software i know, including your choice).
About the GPS itself, it's a cool device, one of the best on the market these days, and quite sexy.

Just a note there to let everyone who was wondering about this GPS and the Cingular 8125, that it is an awesome GPS. Just got mine today and have played with it for about 5 hours now and it works just fine. Setup was real easy, there is a very nice cd that comes with it that just about holds your hand and walks you through each step to set it up. Other than haveing the Phone find the GPS which was automatic, the only manual thing I had to do was add a com port to it which I choose COM7, and pow.... up and running. Comes with a test program that will install through the ActiveSync which shows alot of info about the connection. The main progam I am using at the moment is a program called GeoScout from Handango, which I use for Geocaching. Next test is to drag out the old laptop (golly, havn't used it since I got the 8125) and see how it works with my Street Atlas I have install.
