Dear All,

I know that this topic has been mentioned before, but i don't recall seeing a conclusion. Has anyone worked out how to make WiFI the default connection when it is available, whilst retaining push e-mail and other internet connections via GPRS when it is not?

Thanks

I second that? I'm new to this site and am looking for the same. I appreciate the input.

I 3rd that :0) I really want to use my home wireless network when I'm home and depend on my GRPS when I'm out and about.

Wifi will always be your primary connection over gprs, the difference being you have to initiate the wifi connection through the comm manager. We can only guess as to why these devices are set up this way but I believe it is due to the technical differences in the way wifi and gprs work. Wifi consumes much more battery power than gprs. You can, if you like, leave your device in wifi discovery mode all the time but I think you'll find your battery won't last long.
