As I announced earlier on the HTC Wizard Blog, the HTC Wizard Web community website finally launches today. Though still rather empty from the readers point of view, it is loaded with community features under the hood, and the HTC Wizard Web is completely geared up to offer everything that is needed to build the number 1 community web site for HTC Wizard owners.

No registration is needed for viewing the content of the HTC Wizard Web. However, just reading is not very community-like. When you sign up for the HTC Wizard Web (completely free of course), you will get access to more features. Features like subscriptions to articles, a newsletter and access to the forums. Any member can write his own blog entries as well, entries that will be promoted to the HTC Wizard Web frontpage if the member chooses to do so.

The main goal of this HTC Wizard Web community website is to become the most complete resource of information about the HTC Wizard. Information has to be presented to readers in a structured way. That is what the handbooks on the HTC Wizard Web are for. Any user can contribute to both handbooks (one about the HTc Wizard Web itself, and one about the HTC Wizard). To be able to do that, they can send me a private message and ask me to promote them from authenticated user to contributing member. That promotion will elevate their permissions, so they can create their own pages in the handbook, or so they can add other users pages to the handbooks.

My original plan was to migrate the content from the HTC Wizard Blog to this HTC Wizard Web. Unfortunately, that turned out to be far to complicated. That is why I decided to launch without the content from the HTC Wizard Blog. I will migrate some of the content manualy, but any registered user is free to do the same. It saves me work, and speeds up the creation of content here.
