That means new Diamonds bought on the Bell Canada network will be even more pleasing to the eye (and finger!). PointUI's interface was also recently demoed by Telstra and Microsoft in Australia recently, it would appear that te user intrface is FINALLY becoming an important aspect of WIndows Mobile. The mobile browser wars are really starting to hot up now thanks to Mobile Firefox getting released in Alpha under the name Fennec. The release is naturally (being an Alpha) designed to involve the public in testing of the product before it gets a proper launch at a later date so don't expect a polished piece of software but it'll be well worth a look no doubt!Quote:This is an early developer release of the mobile version of Firefox, for testing purposes only, intended to:get wider community feedback on our approach to the user experience engage Mozilla community teams, including localizers, add-on developers, and testers get feedback from Web developers The focus of development so far has been on building a new user interface that reflects Firefox's design principles, and adds touch screen support and other features that are appropriate for mobile phones and other handheld devices. But in the meantime, we feel it is important to make this early release available to continue to grow the community and gather feedback as early as possible in the development...

With the mobile Internet fast becoming the selling point for consumer smartphones the Windows Mobile team's latest announcement regarding Internet Explorer 6 on Windows Mobile 6 is naturally of interest. With the current version of IE on Windows Mobile dating back to before most of you were born the need for a refresh was more than evident! So what does this new version of Internet Explorer bring with it? Well you can expect an option that allows you to select whether you wish to view the web page from the perspective of a mobile device or a desktop PC which is a nice touch, however despite the changes behind the sceens that are no doubt present, the user experience remains otherwise pretty much unchanged! There doesn't seem to be any tabbed browsing and it still looks like it was developed in 1982! Perhaps its not the refresh that we all craved then..?[Source (http://www.theunwired.net/?item=browser-microsoft-s-internet-explorer-mobile-6-aka-6-on-6-is-real-and-shows-its-face)]
